Being a Ballerific Woman isn't always an easy position to occupy. It's about expressing yourself whether you're loud or soft spoken. Now don't be fooled, this doesn't make you a feminist but a woman who refuses to fit the "mold" of being a female. It's about you as a woman finding your niche in even some of the most male dominant industries and staking your spot.
Let's take a look at ballerific woman, Dia Simms (Executive VP of Blue Flame Marketing/President of Sean Combs Enterprises). Corporate executive, entrepreneur, public speaker, mother are just a few of the titles that comes to mind when it comes to Dia Simms. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Morgan State University, a Master’s degree in Management with a concentration in Contract Management from the Florida Institute of Technology and is Level- II Certified by the Defense Acquisition University. Starting early in her career working for the Department of Defenseand then advertising sales and the pharmaceutical industry, Dia's path took a sudden turn when she was approached to work for Sean "P. Diddy" Combs. She worked her way up the corporate ladder from personal assistant to executive vice president. Due to her relentless commitment to excel, Dia was promoted 4 times, eventually securing her current role. Currently she is the Executive Vice President for the Blue Flame Agency which includes brands such as Revolt TV, Aquahydrate, and Sean John. She also oversees the marketing and advertising strategies for Ciroc Ultra Premium Vodka. With her ambition and ease to balance both her personal and professional life, it is no wonder Dia is praised by her employees and colleagues. In 2011, she was named a Leader of the New School by Essence Magazine.
