4 Unexpected New Ways to Wear Floral Prints This Spring

Neon Fix

Turn the most classic spring trend on it’s head and road-test four new ways to wear floral prints this spring. Celebrate the first official weekend of spring with some color and a pattern that reminds you of the warmer days to come.

As Miranda Priestly famously told us, there is nothing groundbreaking about florals for spring. That doesn’t mean that they aren’t ALWAYS a spring trend, though, and doesn’t mean that we are going to stop loving them anytime soon. Take inspiration from the four spring looks below and have a little more fun with your florals this season!

Mix It Up: try pairing one floral with another. Using base colors like black and white, as BCBG did for above, allows for total floral freedom.

Make them Pop: 3D embellishment was one of my favorite spring trends and it so awesomely translates into florals. Use a 3D floral as a fun addition to an otherwise classic outfit, like this MSGM.

Florals and Stripes: With a fun floral, a classic stripe is totally considered a neutral. If you’re not ready to go full head-to-toe print, dip your toe into the trend by taking a cue from this J Crew look.

Head-to-Toe: For the more seasoned floral girl among us, go bold and wear the print top-to-bottom. Try florals of two different sizes, like Stella McCartney, to break up the look a little bit.
