22-01-16 FASHION BOMBSHELL OF THE DAY: JELINDA FROM ILLINOIS

Neon Fix

While D.C. picks up to be a winter wonderland this weekend, let’s check out someone whose not keeping just white in her repertoire, Jelinda from Decatur, Illinois:

She says, “Heyyy ya’ll! I’m Jelinda, I am studying Theatre Arts as a student at Parkland College in Champaign, IL. I’m an actor in training that is obsessed with fashion!”

“When it comes to style, color is imperative! I’m a trendy girl that loves her nudes and olives, but I am definitely that girl that wears lime green shoes to an all black ball! “

“I’m a turquoise in a world full of blues. When you think about it, a typical Crayola Box has those primary/secondary colors we’re taught as a kid. But canary yellows, lavenders, and turquoise colors put a spin on the usual, like me!”

“I take color so seriously that every outfit I blog, I put against a different color background. A green shirt and yellow skirt may really pop with a pink background!”

“One thing I love about my style is that I take it day by day. If I feel chill, I will throw on a pair of joggers and a blazer cape with nikes.”

“If I have a presentation at school, I’m in a fitted dress and heels. My style is reflected by feeling. If I’m in a hurry, you can bet my hair is in a messy bun! Fashion is not about “doing too much” it’s about being YOU.”

“I take a lot of inspiration from June Ambrose and Solange Knowles. They’re both colorful, energetic, and positive, three elements that are so important to my life! I make feather clutches and heels which you will see in most of my pictures. I started as a DIY project last year, and I love the concept!”

“I will be selling them, as well as giving tips on my blog site here. Thank you for the opportunity!”

Zendaya Is Now an Official 'CoverGirl'

Neon Fix

Zendaya has stolen our hearts time and time again, yet she just won’t stop until she’s taken over the world (I’m convinced). Well, now there’s one more thing to cheer about......the beauty announced her official partnership with CoverGirl Cosmetics, going to Instagram to show us (in more than one way) the power of makeup.

According to CoverGirl, Zendaya will talk about personal makeup tips as well as serve as a source of beauty inspiration (because…obviously, look at her). Although we don’t know what else is up their sleeves, we can only imagine what Zendaya and her push for self-love will bring to one of the world’s most coveted beauty brands. #BlackGirlMagic? Indeed.

What do you guys think of Zendaya’s new partnership with CoverGirl?

FASHION BOMBSHELL OF THE DAY:ERYN FROM DALLAS/FORT WORTH

Neon Fix

We’ve been on a roll with our Bombshells! Let’s keep the momentum going with Eryn from Dallas/ Fort Worth:

She says, “My personal style is a balance of stylish, versatility, and comfort"

I am a wife and mother to a very active toddler. I work a full time job and balance a business as well. “

I am constantly moving from one environment to the next and need a wardrobe that can be used across all aspects of my life.”

I sew a lot of my own clothing where I marry classic silhouettes with bold colors and prints to jazz it up a bit.”

I love knowing that many things I own and make for myself, no one else owns.”

“I prefer a bit more coverage in my wardrobe, but I still feel sexy in anything I wear because sexy is a state of mind. “
