Carnival Hermes "World of Women"

Neon Fix

Hermes and carnivals aren't things that sound like they'd go together. The disparity in taste level (and cost) between a $7,000 leather bag, popcorn, and horse racing games might seem, well, vast. Only last night, at the third installment of Hermes' "World of Women"—a showcase for all the scarves, leather goods, and clothes that make up Hermes' "women's universe" (similar exhibitions have been mounted in Shanghai and Paris)—it all made sense.

800 guests made their way downtown to "The Corner" at 23 Wall St, and for five or so hours, a former J.P. Morgan office building became the site of Hermes' spectacular carnival. Champagne flowed freely and at each turn, a new surprise:

A choreographed dance routine involving Hermes bags...

A faux-synchronized swimming number featuring Hermes scarves and bathing suits (and a delicious raw bar)...

A "Bangle Bar" where guests were served champagne at a bar comprised of two enormous enamel bangles by bartenders whose arms were stacked with bangles...

A photo booth with carousel ponies and more scarves (yes, Martha Stewart got in on the action)...

And and a horse racing game, where, it must be said, I beat Jodie Foster.

Some might equate old world luxury with stuffiness. Hermes would prove you wrong.

8 Outfits To Kick This Weekend's Butt

Neon Fix

The Workout Way: We won't say that colorblocking your bike gear helps the ride, but it certainly can't hurt. We love how these shades clash with each other and the printed shorts. A SPIbelt will help you carry your keys and cellphone, but it's so thin you'll hardly notice you're wearing it as the miles tick by.

The Brunch Switchup: Pair high-waist trousers with a low and chunky heel, a crossbody bag, and top it off with your pale-blue vest from earlier in the day. The best part of this look, however, is the Alexander Wang sports bra with a triangular shape that channels the ultimate '90s crop-top queen: Gwen Stefani.

The Brunch Switchup: A long, white vest can transform a basic tee and gym pants (although, you don't have to tell anyone that's what they are) into something seriously polished. A few statement accessories make this look feel special as you head out for your pal's annual, fancy-pants rooftop mimosa toast.

The Workout Way: So, your headstand could use a little work, and maybe you napped a bit too much during savasana — it's okay! If you're looking to step up your game, sartorially speaking, bring in a few clever details to your practice, such as a belted shirt, leggings with sheer panels, and sneakers (strictly for commuting, of course) that have a sophisticated splash of color. Plus, an art-deco printed mat might just motivate you for the next series of downward dogs.

The Brunch Switchup: Ditch most of the tight stuff and throw on a loose maxi when you head out for your favorite breakfast sandwich and a walk through the weekend flea. 2 Spring Trends, 1 Perfect Outfit

Neon Fix

There's no need to limit yourself to one trend per ensemble. Consider Band of Outsiders' playful floral-print-and-Breton-stripes combination a lesson in mixing and matching. Adorning the hem of its resort '14 white, cotton jersey dress (and also found on a shirt), the duo transforms an otherwise simple sheath into pure eye candy. A long, pink trench and black loafers create a menswear vibe to deafen any overly feminine note, making the frock an ideal wardrobe addition no matter your personal style. We think it would look just as stunning paired with a floppy, wide-brim hat, metallic, flat sandals, and a cropped denim jacket. Versatility, FTW!

Rihanna's Instagram account BACK UP after it was suspended for posting racy photo of her naked derriere

Neon Fix

Rihanna saw her Instagram account suspended after she shared a racy photo on Tuesday.

The shot of the 26-year-old singer showing off her naked derriere by a swimming pool violated the social media site's rules. For several days all that could be seen when clicking on her badgalriri page was the note Page Not Found.

But on Monday her account was back up and hours later a rep for Instagram told MailOnline they had never actually taken down her page. 'This account was mistakenly caught in one of our automated systems and very briefly disabled. We apologize for any inconvenience,' the spokesperson said.

This was all that was seen over the weekend: When the 26-year-old's Instagram account was frozen, the message Page Not Found came up

The shot of the Diamonds singer's naked backside was from a photo shoot with French magazine Lui. The Grammy winner also shared a shot of her backside covered only by a black thong as she sat on the edge of a swimming pool dive board. That image appears to have been taken down as well.

She appeared topless on their cover in a shoot by Mario Sorrenti.

Though Rihanna had shared the image, on Monday the cover had been cropped in on so as not to show her naked chest.

Also on Monday Complex announced the star was not only managed by Roc Nation but was also on the label along with Jay Z and Rita Ora.

Will she ever keep her clothes on? Rihanna, 26, poses topless for French magazine Lui, out now

'If you wouldn’t show the photo or video you are thinking about uploading to a child, or your boss, or your parents, you probably shouldn’t share it on Instagram,' it states in Instagram’s community guidelines.

'The same rule applies to your profile photo. Accounts found sharing nudity or mature content will be disabled and your access to Instagram may be discontinued.'

However, the temporary disabling of the singer's Instagram account didn't deter her as she posted the snaps to her Twitter account shortly after.

And in a witty retort to Instagram she mocked up a more matronly image of herself captioned: 'Rih's next magazine cover if it was up to Instagram.'

Mocking: Rihanna hit back at Instagram with this witty image after they banned her topless photshoot

In another shot for Lui, she wears just a net black G-string as she perches on the edge of a diving board.

It is less than a week after the singer was seen stripping down to her underwear for a glossy shoot in Vogue Brazil.

Rihanna proudly shared the image on her Twitter and Instagram pages, tweeting: ‘I am the G in Vogue!! Is it too late now?’ referring to the fact her head covers up one of the letters in the magazine’s logo.

Risque: Rihanna was seen posing naked during the shoot earlier this month

She's not shy! Rihanna brazenly stuck her naked derriere in the air during the shoot

So she DOES wear clothes! Rihanna was spotted in NYC on Monday covering herself up (just) in a turquoise ensemble

The Stay hit-maker’s second cover shows her topless while smouldering at the camera with a short crop of wild, dark curls.

But it's not just Rihanna's risque photoshoots that has seen the pop star cause controversy.

The singer has been hit with a lawsuit from Geoffrey Keating, from Dublin, who claims the popstar made 'nauseatingly offensive' and false statements about him in an email sent to him and his wife last July.

He also claims the star used the same defamatory allegations via a telephone call to his sister.

Mr Keating, who worked for Rihanna on her Diamonds tour between October 2012 and July 2013, claims the comments have tarnished his reputation and damaged the future of his business.

The former bodyguard is seeking damages against the brunette beauty and he also wants her to publish a correction of the alleged defamation.

His lawyer, Gerald Kean, was granted permission yesterday to serve the singer with the legal papers at her home in New York City.

Mr Kean told TMZ.com: 'We're taking this battle very seriously. We are satisfied that the Irish Courts will see justice at the end of the day.
